I am a recent graduate of the University of North Carolina, in Asehville, with a Bachelor degree in Political Science. In May of 1996, I earned an associate degree in Criminal Justice from Western Peidmont Community College. During my stay at the university, I aspired to work within the criminal justice community.
Beth Johnson,
Rep. Sue Myrick, and myself Summer 1999.
To further my cause, I worked as an intern in the office of the Honorable Sue Myrick in order to gain a better understading of the law and its applications. During this tenure, experience was my best asset while working as a team was the real teacher. This opportunity heightened my awareness of the judicial process and offered an excellent opportunity to sharpen my writing skills, broaden my computer literacy, and communicate effectively my role in the office.
Having resided in North Carolina for nearly six years, attending a state supported institution for higher learning, my appreciation for this state is kindred. Also, I have maintained a keen interest in the issues that concern our judicial process as well as the criminal justice system as a whole.
